letters to my daughters | april 2015 | phoenix storytelling photographer

Dear Adeline,

The other day I found myself feeding you in your room, which rarely happens. Usually we are sitting at the kitchen table, helping the other kids eat, or sitting on the couch reading stories with little hands and fingers petting your head. The other odd thing I found myself with in your room as I was feeding you was my camera. I had been shooting for something else, and since it’s so rare that I was both in your room and with my camera, I decided to try and take some selfies. I need to do it real next time and set up the tripod before you decide you’re done with me. But for now I’m happy with these. And we were even graced with a 5 year old visitor who you just love to be distracted by.

These quiet moments with you aren’t going to last forever. I’m all too aware of that. And I know I’m going to miss them. I love you baby.
