letters to my daughters | march 2015 | phoenix family photographer

Every month I join a handful of other photographers as we write letters to our daughters. When you’re done here be sure to check out what my friend Nicole of Colie James Photography has to say to her sweet girl by clicking here.

Dear Sophia,
Sometimes I love to go into detail and write lots about how amazing you are and what you’re into. Today is not one of those days. We are just emerging from a stomach bug that took down both you and Jack. I’m keeping my fingers crossed it stops there. We were four hours into Jack’s first day of potty training when you started getting sick. So the last five days had us running back and forth from the bathroom to the laundry room. Someday we’ll look back on these days and laugh and wonder how we had the energy for it.

So today I’m going to just let my images speak for themselves. They speak of a girl who has a crazy amount of love for her siblings. Sure you can be testy with Jack, but overwhelmingly you just love to love him. One morning this week when he was sleeping in because he was sick, you begged for 40 minutes to go wake him up because you missed him and you wanted to play. Although I’m fairly certain that was just a ploy to turn on the TV earlier than usual. Sweet girl, you are a handful, but you are also a huge bundle of love.
